This tour is an immersive experience into the heart of ALENTEJO. A region of rolling plains and flat landscape, where a vast number of cork oak trees, vineyards and cattle get lost in the horizon. Every corner reveals a story of Portugal’s rural soul; it allows an intimate connection with nature and a glimpse into a world away from the hustle and bustle.

EVORA is the capital of this region and an important historic stronghold for the country. It is known as the “Museum City”, and holds some of the most incredible sites, such has the Roman Temple, the Bones Chapel decorated with human bones, a rare Statue of a Pregnant Virgin Mary. Making this place a unique UNESCO Heritage Site.

After a visit to one of the local vineyards, to try and learn about the specificity of the wines, the Tour reaches MONSARAZ, a stunning medieval village perched on the top of a mountain. The view from there is breathtakingly; you can see the sky stretching endlessly before you. It is a magical place!
